Recommendations & Reminders

FAQ Page: There have been a lot of questions about the dress code for the wedding & resort, how to book transportation, etc. Nothing has changed but please make sure you revisit the FAQ page as it has all of this information for you.

***As a reminder, the wedding ceremony is outside on the beach and the cocktail hour & reception are also outside but in a different location about a 10 minute walk from the ceremony***

Other Items: We recommend you bring sunscreen (it's expensive to buy at resorts) and bug spray (the resort has some around the restaurants but we recommend you bring some as well).

Liquor In-Room: There is no liquor in your room (if you booked Prive I believe you will have some) so if you want to make mixed drinks in the room, we recommend you grab a bottle or 2 at the airport when you land.

Yeti: If you want to bring your yeti cup feel free to as the bartenders will fill them up for you. This is obviously not required but I know some people love their yeti's

Comfortable Shoes: It's up to you but the resort is big and you'll be walking a lot. We recommend you bring comfortable shoes & sandals

Fun Things To Do: The resort will have many fun things going on like bike tours, yoga, pool volleyball, games, live music & shows. You can visit app.valentinmaya.com to see what's on the lineup when we get closer to our trip (just select skip this step at the bottom). The Jungle Spa is also pretty amazing!

Activities Offsite: If you fancy leaving the resort, you can book tours through the Valentin Team at the main pool or with the concierge. You can also book on your own via an external party if you want. We've been to Riviera Maya many times and we recommend the following:

Visit a Cenote, snorkel with the turtles, visit Xcaret or Xel-Ha waterparks, spend the day in Tulum and see the ruins
